It's been said that "Rebecca's work is akin to a dream....a premonition." "Rebecca's images inspire a shot of awe right through the heart that lingers.... like being kissed for the first time..." A writer and beekeeper who recently viewed 100 works at The Aztec Cafe in Santa Fe says ..."this work has a stillness, a centered grace and inner light."
My photographic work is 35mm and matted with 8 ply highest quality, 100% organic cotton rag mat, museum white and all have conservation glass.
Simple, clean, quiet, strong, grounding, a story only partially told, what I call One-Shot-Cinema.
More painted works will come later though some archived/sold works have been included for posterity's sake! I have taken a "hiatus" from painting in most of 2008, though truth be told, painting took a hiatus from ME. The works I will post are aging though I do have one new piece, 'Heartache Gone Missing'. It sold the second it was hung in a recent show in Santa Fe. I am profoundly grateful. It now appears here in this Gallery for your viewing. It is about loss, grief over the death of my Dad this year and moreover, it is about loving him, learning strength from him and letting him go.
10% of any sale of my work does now and has always (15 years) gone to Save The Wolves and The Defenders of Wildlife fund to use any way they see fit.
