Michael Mirabito Personal Information

My photographs are primarily digitally-based, including inkjet printing. My focus is also on black and white and, to a certain extent, digital infrared imaging.

My pictures are generally landscapes. cityscapes and figure photography (usually in a landscape setting). I also enjoy exploring the light and dark areas...the light and shadows in a scene...and how they carve and affect the physical spaces we view. This is tied to the Japanese concept of Notan.

Finally...for me...the magic of photography is simple--you can try to get others to see, think or feel what you are experiencing through the images captured by your camera and, ultimately, your imagination.
