In “Fire Bell” we are in a heated, fiery atmosphere. A faceless Indian woman appears in the dream with her head covered in a pardah (veiling). She is in a red dress for her wedding, the traditional color for bridal garments. Her status as either Hindu or Muslim is intentionally ambiguous.
